I need my umbrella to fly

Without having to relate to Mary Poppins herself, I really need my umbrella to fly. For real. At least that describes my situation here. Away from the loved ones back home even also still away from MY LOVE :( the 500 something miles that separates us from being together on this Valentine's Day. Nevertheless, I am still strong here knowing that we will see each other again in just matter of days :)

And to be honest with you, this is like my comfortable outfit whenever my mind stuck or not having any single idea on what to wear. I am a simple eclectic woman who knows how to dress appropriately without losing her adulthood elegant touch. Disagree with me?? ;)

outfit : hat - H&M, red top - Stradivarius, necklace - Moselle, skirt - Zara, blazer - Zara, tights - Zara, sneakers - Keds, rings - H&M, bag - Steve Madden

say the magic word: Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious =)

And Ta-Da! there's my umbrella that's gonna make me fly :P

And that's the end of my hometown-related outfit posts! see you guys later in another version of the posts!
God bless you :)

hey hey hey

Hey all of ya there..lol

anyway, I haven't updated my blog in like a month. i know, it has been a month. you guys proly r wondering what have I been doing, rite? well, frankly, i did not do anything hard and stressful except that pretty much tension going on inside the house and it involved my family. mom asked me to help for 'a' while my dad asked another help for 'b' and since my maid was gone for 10 days so I had to make sure the house was clean and organized every single day. that's not an easy thing to do consider living in tropical area means: lots and lots of dust, mopping every day, doing dishes, cleaning bathroom etc etc - the things that are done by the domestic. yeah, I became the help for 10 days.. oh well, it was not unusual for me. I have spent most of my time abroad either living for several months or days without help so basically, this was just another daily routine + some extra things to be taken care. sadly, it also prevented me from getting online with laptop. by the time I finished the work, I did not have enough mood to type or to think..

okay, nuff bout some random chit chat, I just wanna share with you these lovely photos of Carey Mulligan. mostly are her photos at the premiere of Wall Street 2. look at her, so adorable right? you know, if someday Hollywood wanna make a film about Twiggy Lawson's life, then Carey is definitely the perfect actress to portray her. Carey is tall, fit, healthy skinny, blond and has those features that captivating enough. surely it is just my imagination but with lil bit of makeup and touches here and there, hmm, I don't see why she can't become her ;)

I particularly love her facial expression in this shot. quite naive yet stunningly beautiful and sophisticated. and the dress, uh-um, I'd love to have it and pairs with brown heels.

dancing with skirt and shoes

Well, seems that my resolution went pretty good this whole week. i did some research for my business and i didn't buy single thing after i left. Good one! :)

anyway, i saw this beautiful high waist fitted skirt at Mango and decided to pass simply because it was so freaking long (below the knee, ok i know i'm short). i've talked with my tailor and i'm gonna make it my own cause she could alter the trimming and such according to my size. gonna have to be patient a bit cause she's still finishing my mother's blazers.

yes, i'm proud of my curves. it makes me much more confident..:)

another purchase: Pintu Terlarang dvd (aka The Forbidden Door)...a must see Indonesian movie!

all time favorite: ABBA in Japan dvd.

yes, i grew up hearing the tunes from Paula Abdul, Culture Club, Debbie Gibson, etc. no wonder by the time i saw this compilation CDs, i just grabbed and paid :)

okay, late info, got this couple of days before new year. my dad allowed me to use my credit card despite the fact that previous month's balance kinda sucked a bit...the boots that i'd keep on talking and talking and talking over...

this one? nope, just my new working out shoes from Reebok. i just love the color combination!

well, i think i'm off now...have a nice day people!!! :)

3.) RENT: Live on Broadway Blu-Ray... I'd been sobbing for months in order to get this baby. why? Amazon really set the price very high ($27.99) and I decided to pass because with all those shipping and such, it still expensive for me...well,looks like God wanted me to keep on waiting and be patience and YES! by the time I read the announcement, it went down to $19.99...so...BUNGKUS*! (later this day I checked again and guess what! the price increased again up to $23.99!!!thank you Lord!!!!)

Childhood memory: re-written

Hmm...what is the name of this beautiful building?? still remember?? any late 80s generation here??

okay...it is Keong Emas IMAX Theater. located inside Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII). I still remember during my kindergarten year when our teacher took us for a field trip to TMII and finally stopped by to this place and watched T-Rex inside this huge building. I can't really describe much bout the interior and such, I'd forgotten too many details. well yeah, I was just a 3 or 4 yrs old back then.

so, what's it had to do with Star Trek poster, eh? well, incase you didn't know, Star Trek will be shown in Keong Emas too (besides usual cinema) starting from May 8th 2009 (I do hope it follows the original release date from the US). I'd spoken w. my parents about this and they seem to enjoy the idea of watching 2 hours movie in a IMAX theater. it is going to be a special day for me and my parents esp. my Mom (she's a fan of Star Trek..oh well)
